Ralph Clark: President and CEO
As President and CEO of GuardianEdge, Ralph Clark is responsible for overseeing both the company's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. Mr. Clark brings more than 25 years of corporate and financial leadership to the position, most recently serving as GuardianEdge’s Chief Operating Officer from 2005-2009.
Prior to GuardianEdge, Mr. Clark held the position of Vice President of Finance for Adaptec, responsible for worldwide Financial Planning & Analysis. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Snap Appliance prior to Adaptec’s acquisition of the company. Before that, Mr. Clark served as founder and CEO of Blue Makoi, and President and CEO of Direct Medical Knowledge, successfully leading both companies to acquisition. His career also includes sales and marketing positions at IBM and investment banking work at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Clark holds a bachelor's of science degree in economics from the University of the Pacific, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is member of the board of directors for PrintRoom and Pacific Community Ventures and serves as a Trustee at the Oakland Museum of California.
Ram G. Krishnan: SVP of Products and Marketing
Ram Krishnan is the Senior Vice President of Products and Marketing at GuardianEdge, and is responsible for directing the company's product management, product marketing, and corporate marketing strategies. Mr. Krishnan brings nearly two decades of experience in creating and marketing enterprise software and information security solutions to large to mid-size enterprises.
Before joining GuardianEdge, Mr. Krishnan served as the VP of Marketing and Business Development for Elemental Security, where he played a significant role in the creation of Elemental’s ground-breaking products and led an award-winning launch of the company that successfully positioned it as an innovative market leader.
Previously, Mr. Krishnan led the product management and product marketing functions across ValiCert's six product lines. Mr. Krishnan also held senior positions in strategic marketing, business development and product leadership for Netscape Communications, Intel and Hewlett-Packard.
An MBA graduate of The Kellogg School at Northwestern University, Mr. Krishnan co-developed the successful course, Marketing and Strategy for High-Tech Ventures. Mr. Krishnan also holds a master's degree in computer science from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from BITS, India, where he was a National Talent Scholar.
Gary Taggart: SVP of Worldwide Sales
Gary Taggart is Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for GuardianEdge, responsible for the company’s execution of its sales strategy and field operations. He has more than twenty-five years of sales management experience in building customer-centric sales organizations and relationships with high-value channel partners.
Before joining GuardianEdge, Mr. Taggart served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Customer Support for Reconnex, a provider of data loss prevention solutions. Prior to Reconnex, Mr. Taggart was responsible for leading the worldwide sales and support operations at both Cyberguard Corporation and Secure Computing.
Mr. Taggart holds an MBA degree and bachelor's degree in political science from UCLA.
Balaji Venkateswaran: VP of Engineering
Balaji Venkateswaran serves as Vice President of Engineering for GuardianEdge. In this role, he is responsible for developing strategies to drive product development and engineering for GuardianEdge and its enterprise and government customers in the United States and throughout the world. Mr. Venkateswaran brings GuardianEdge nearly two decades of executive experience in delivering enterprise software applications to Fortune 1000 customers.
Mr. Venkateswaran joined GuardianEdge in January 2007. Previously, he held senior engineering management roles at Elemental Security, Ventaso and Evolve Software (now part of Oracle). He started his career as a software engineer at Fujitsu Network Transmission Systems.
Mr. Venkateswaran holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and a master's degree in computer engineering.
