File Type Control

Set and control the file types allowed to be read from and written to devices - Allowing an additional protection layer to prevent data leakage, and an additional layer of defense to prevent the intrusion of malware, viruses and inappropriate content. Includes more than 200 built-in file types for popular applications and 14 file category definitions.

CD/DVD Media White Lists

Granular control of the specific CDs / DVDs that are allowed to install or be viewed, preventing the threats of inappropriate content and software.

Internal Port Logging and Alerting

Provides alerts and logs when users attach devices to internal ports including IDE, SCSI, ATA, SATA, PCI and PCI-X to allow administrative action that prevents data loss.

Now Supports Windows Vista Clients

SQL Database Support

Has the option to use the internal / provided SQL database, or an external customer provided SQL database for increased flexibility and easier administration

Standard and Platform Versions

Supporting both Microsoft® Active Directory™ environments as well as Novell eDirectory or our own provided Policy Server.

  • Standard Edition supports our own provided Policy Server or Novell eDirectory synchronization
  • Platform Edition integrates with GuardianEdge’s other products using Active Directory based policy services and management

File Shadowing - Platform Edition Only

Target specific computers or groups to mirror a copy of all data, or selected file types, saved to connected devices to a central file share. Enables extended eDiscovery and evidence for auditing and control of protected data.
