SAN FRANCISCO – August 14, 2006 -- GuardianEdge Technologies Inc., a leading provider of government and enterprise data protection software, today announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded a contract to service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) integrator Systems Made Simple, Inc. and government technology services integrator Merlin International based on their implementation of GuardianEdge and Trust Digital encryption solutions.

In a highly competitive selection process, the combination of the GuardianEdge Encryption Anywhere Data Protection Platform for encryption of hard disks and removable storage devices with Trust Digital Mobile Edge Device Security for PDAs and smartphones was chosen for encryption of approximately 300,000 VA personal computers and mobile devices.

Working with Trust Digital Mobile Edge Device Security, VA PDAs and smartphones that access e-mail and other application data from the enterprise network have the control and security that the organization needs with the ease-of-use that its end users require.
