Respected Industry Leader to Help Guide GuardianEdge’s Surging Growth And Expand Product Portfolio to Help Enterprises Reduce Risk and Data Loss
SAN FRANCISCO – October 16, 2007 - GuardianEdge, the leading provider of endpoint data protection for the enterprise, announced the appointment of Marc Ferrie to the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Ferrie will be responsible for creating strategies to drive GuardianEdge’s product development and engineering as the company experiences surging growth and demand from global enterprises and government departments for enterprise data protection products.
Mr. Ferrie brings a wealth of experience to the position, including an 18-year successful track record in building large and successful teams and products for companies such as Elemental Security and Evolve Software.

Mr. Ferrie’s successful engineering background and valuable insight
into the enterprise data protection industry is important to
GuardianEdge as it continues to address the increased enterprise and
government demand for scalable, easily managed solutions that protect
crucial confidential information.
Previously, as Vice
President of Engineering at Elemental Security, Mr. Ferrie guided the
engineering group that created the company’s enterprise information
security solution. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of
Engineering and Chief Technical Officer at Ventaso, a sales-messaging
software provider. In his role at Evolve Software, Marc was
instrumental in building out the portfolio of software offerings. Mr.
Ferrie has also held numerous executive management positions at
Computer Associates and Ingres in France and the United States. He
holds both a Master’s in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
from the University Descartes, Paris and a Master’s in Sociology from
the University La Sorbonne, Paris.
